Larry is our Managing Director, having started his career in the Construction Supplies industry over 40 years ago, it is safe to say the Clubb Businesses are in experienced and safe hands.
Larry started out in the industry as a Concrete technician, passing the Concrete Practice, and Concrete Technology exams, in a fifteen-year spell with Tarmac he moved into the commercial side of the business for Concrete and Mortars, before leaving his role as Commercial Manager in June 1998. From there Larry joined the Grafton Group as Sales Manager for CPI Mortars Limited where he was Chief Executive from 2007 until March 2023.
On joining the Clubb business in April 2023 Larry commented “ It was an easy decision to join the Clubb business, it has been, and still is a family run business with an emphasis on high quality service”
Larry says he’s only one regret in life was having no choice but to support West Ham United
Mark forms part of the Senior Management team as Operations Manager and is responsible for Wharf Operations and Ready-Mix Concrete. Mark joined us in Spring 2022, bringing a wealth of experience from his 30 years covering various roles in the Aggregate and associated sectors. Mark is highly driven and enthusiastically committed to help develop an improve the Clubb group. Despite this, he does find time to torture himself while supporting Gillingham FC most Saturdays.
Mark is an integral part of our Senior Management team, looking after transport and logistics. Mark is a long-standing employee having worked for Clubbs for the past 24 years, working his way up from a plant operative to where he is today. Mark is knowledgeable, hard-working, and always happy to assist in any areas of the business. Outside of work Mark was a keen Rugby player and still has a passion for watching the game.
Jess is the youngest member of our Senior Management team and in a very short time has become a great asset for the business. Her primary role focuses on compliance, health, safety, and wellbeing. Jess started with Clubb as a temp in the accounts team in March 2020 during the pandemic. Jess subsequently found her passion in compliance, and soon took over the Clubb management systems and has become increasingly involved in improving the business in this area. Jess has a passion for continual personal development in all areas, and enjoys developing her knowledge particularly in the area of construction material supplies.
Tim is valuable member of our sales team, with his skills concentrated on the concrete side of the Clubb business. Tim joined Clubb Concrete on the 1st of July 2023, his background prior to joining had been in Mortars, Concrete, and Screeds for over 27 years. Varied roles from Yardman to Sales Manager within his career have provided Tim with lots of experience in production and sales and given him a well-rounded knowledge of the industry.
Nick, as the newest member of our Clubb, is well versed in the industry. Nick oversees the bagging plant operations with a focus the commercial side of the business. Prior to joining Clubb, Nick has had roles in the sales of aggregates, readymix concrete, and packed products. He brings huge experience in the specialised products sector and hopes to utilise this to expand our knowledge in different product areas.
Stuart is our Transport Co-Ordinator, responsible for the efficient shipping and distribution of all materials and maintaining helpful communication with customers to ensure a high-quality delivery service. Stuart is eager to help in all areas of the business and frequently aids the sales team with pricing and quotations. An important part of Stuart's role is maintaining a close relationship with the Transport Manager to ensure adequate resources are available to achieve our targets. In a previous life Stuart worked as London police officer resulting in excellent organisation skills, which greatly helps the planning element of his role.
